If a boil water notice/advisory is needed the customer will be notified by a door hanger, phone call, are media release given by the Water Dept.
The Boil advisory/notice will be lifted in the same manner.

Water hours are 6:00 to 3:30 Monday through Friday, after hours contact dispatch at 270-821-1720 and they will contact our standby who is available 24/7

Construction began 2006 for the new Madisonville Water Filtration Membrane Plant at 850 Lake Pee Wee Road in Madisonville (off 41A/Nebo Road) and the plant went online in May of 2008.
The Madisonville Water Filtration Plant is proud to produce 4.5 million gallons of drinking water per day but has the capacity of 8.0 million gallons per day for the citizens in the Madisonville, Hanson, Nebo, North Hopkins, and South Hopkins water district areas.
The Madisonville Water Filtration’s water professionals consisting of 11 employees of which 8 are State Certified Drinking Water Operators. The plant is continuously staffed to meet all Federal and State mandated regulations. Water quality control consists of daily in-house testing and is backed by a state certified professional laboratory.
Madisonville’s source of water comes from Lake Pee Wee consisting of 426 acres of city-owned property holding approximately 1 billion gallons of water supplemented in the dry months by a pump station and an 18-mile pipeline from Green River which replenishes 9.0 million gallons of water per day.
The Madisonville Water Filtration plant performs tours to local school systems, Boy Scout/Girl Scout Troops, Leadership of Hopkins County - Hopkins County Chamber of Commerce plus providing informative tours to other water facilities desiring to upgrade to the membrane technology such as the Madisonville Water Plant.
Water is essential for the community and its everyday life such as cooking, cleaning, bathing, drinking and providing the local fire department with water for the community’s fire protection.
